Samsung Galaxy S4 to set sales records, get Google version

5/20/2013

Most smartphone enthusiasts have one thing in common: They love to have the newest toys as soon as possible. There are few things as fun as getting a new gadget and taking it for a spin, and that means as soon as these products go on the market, people scramble for the chance to get ahold of their own.

According to CNET, even though the Samsung S4 phone is less than a month old, sales are set to surpass 10 million sometime in the third week of May. The source said that Samsung Electronics co-CEO Shin Jong-kyun told the Korea Times that the Galaxy S4 is the fastest-selling smartphone in the firm's history, and that it's soundly beating its predecessor's sales. In fact, it took the Galaxy S3 50 days to hit the 10 million mark, Shin noted.

But despite the success Samsung is already having with its new smartphone, it doesn't seem to be letting up on future product development. In a separate article, CNET reported that at the recent Google I/O developers' conference, Google announced that it's releasing its own version of the Galaxy S4. The phone will be similar to the standard model, complete with 4G LTE and equipped with 16GB of storage, but it will also differ in a few important ways. The news provider explained that the new gadget features a skinless Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Nexus OS and an unlocked bootloader. Additionally, users will get any system updates as they become available.

Don't get left behind
So that's all well and good, but what if you just got a new phone? If you want to stay on the cutting-edge but also don't want to spend a lot of money, the options might seem pretty limited. Fortunately, ProtectCELL can come to the rescue in cases like these. With a ProtectCELL BUYBACK plan, you can trade in your phone before upgrade time rolls around. But what sets ProtectCELL apart? You'll get up to 50 percent of the full retail value back within the first year, and up to 25 percent back within two years. This way, you can stay ahead of the curve without breaking the bank.
