Nokia Lumia 1020 might be picture perfect

When was the last time you wanted a phone that was just for calling people? When many of us are looking to make an upgrade, we're not thinking primarily about how much talk-time a device has - instead, we're wondering about the different add-ons that make the experience of using one of these gadgets enjoyable. Absolutely, you need a phone that will be a reliable connection to the outside world, but beyond that, it's all about the special features.

For example, everyday consumers use their smartphones as a camera instead of carrying around a point-and-shoot. After all, you're more likely to catch a special moment with your mobile device anyway because it'll probably be close at hand. So it's no wonder that when people are researching their next smartphone, many of them want one that can take truly great pictures.

Creativity on the go
Enter Nokia. The company recently announced its Nokia Lumia 1020, which is set to hit U.S. stores later this month and is already receiving quite a bit of attention for how it's placed an emphasis on photography with its 41 megapixel camera. Nokia's official blog noted that there are actually a whole host of reasons users are going to love capturing images with this device, including the fact that the Lumia 1020 features a dual-capture capability that will make sharing photos easier. Because the phone takes such high-quality images, it might be difficult to use those pictures on Facebook or other social sharing sites. To solve that problem, the gadget take two photos at a time: One that's full resolution and another that's 5 megapixels.

Additionally, the blog explained that the Nokia Lumia 1020 will be designed to let anyone's inner creativity flow. For example, the source stated that the smartphone comes with Nokia Pro Camera, a photography app that not only offers intuitive controls but features tutorials to help amateur shutterbugs experiment and learn. Plus, it offers a host of editing features that will make sure you get exactly the image you want.

The Guardian noted that in addition to all of the camera-related perks, the Nokia Lumia 1020 has 2GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, as well as a 4.5" AMOLED HD+ display with a resolution of 1280x768. The device runs on a 1.5GHz dual-core processor by Snapdragon. And as for talk-time, this gadget will let you gab for 13.3 hours without needing to charge it, which the source noted is almost double the iPhone 5's eight hours. On standby, you'll get a healthy 16 days.

If you need to improve your on-the-go photography skills, this might just be the phone for you. And with a ProtectCELL plan that includes cellphone buyback, you won't even have to wait to get it. Within 12 months of purchase, ProtectCELL will give you up to 50 percent of your current smartphone's retail value, and between months 13 and 24, you'll receive up to 25 percent.

Plus, you'll get more benefits than just the ability to get the gadget you want, when you want. Especially with a device like the Nokia Lumia 1020, you'll want to safeguard all of those high-resolution photographs. With ProtectCELL at your side, you'll have all of those gorgeous images backed up, so you won't run the risk of losing them, come what may.
